The back cover has heavy corner damage. The book is heavily foxed and page 49 the library stamped "First Parish Sunday School. East Bridgewater." John Carter was world reknown as evidenced by his art (also in this book) being shown at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The book also has a previous dealer price penciled on the first cover page of $95.00!
