Hardcover. Condition: VG-. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original black cloth boards with gilt text on front. Exterior shows spotting and light soiling, edges and corners are bumped and softened as is the spine. Internal binding is good though there is some pulling in spots. Pages are toned due to age and some spotting and foxing is present. Front pastedown is stamped "Complements of Richard R. Hire" and there is a small pasted in label below stating the book was property of Lloyd Nissley. No other markings found in the book, no handwriting, no library markings etc. The rear pocket contains a very large foldout map which appears to be in very good condition other than some tanning. Also found within the pages is the actual advertisement flyer for this book from the Pennsylvania Geological Survey. The numbered pages and at 66 but this number does not include the numerous photos and illustrations throughout the book which are unnumbered.
