Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Shelf wear. Tanning along fore edges. Rubbing and fading along edges of boards and along spine. Bumping along edges of boards. Tips of boards are frayed. Spine is creases. Spine is slightly cocked.

The 1972 memoir of Fredrickson, co-written with outdoors writer Ben East, detailing her harrowing life of survival in the Canadian Arctic wilderness, from her childhood to her experiences trapping and homesteading with her husband, including a famous solo 40-mile trek for food.
