Square octavo (21cm); 296pp. Stiff pink printed wraps. Wraps bumped; rear panel creased. Binding sound. Textblock shows some foxing; endsheets and interior pages remain clean. Small tear at last page. Very Good or better. Collection of transcribed phone calls between Friedman and several friends and acquaintances between 1977 and 1978. In the book's introduction, Friedman describes his desire to create a "writer's handbook on conversation," or an exploration of conversational and linguistic habits.
