There are 13 dog-eared pages . The inside front and back covers have some smudges. The picture plate has some stain and is loose in the book. ,The binding of covers and pages is solid . The covers are somewhat soiled and the corners are slightly bumped. There is very light fraying along top of spine and corners. The spine is somewhat soiled, few Creases and bumped at top and bottom, printing light FADE. It is not musty smelling. spine reads "THE REILLY &/ BRITTON CO." at the base, Cover in very good- condition, but there is some wear to the edges of the oval inset illustration. Spine lettering is faded but legible. Hinges and endpapers solid and strong. , and the frontispiece may have been reglued at one time. Some foxing to rear endpaper. Text is very good- to , with no odor, tears or stains! The series provides a fascinating account of the adventures of high-spirited girls in the early part of the 20th century. While this is not the only girls series Baum wrote, it is probably the best known. ).
