The study analyzes the starting points and changes of both Frosterus's architecture and his modern worldview. The First World War made Frosterus retreat from his attitude emphasizing science and control of nature and adopt an ethical perspective that takes care of humanity as a species. In construction, it meant emphasizing the value of the classical style of architecture, traditional materials and craftsmanship, alongside steel and mechanical engineering.
