Sewn binding in maroon cloth-covered boards with black / gilt device stamped on front cover, and black / gilt title block on spine. Minor edge wear to cover, corners slightly bumped. Two bookmark ribbons. Gilt edging to top of book block. Dark brown end papers. Hinge is split at tipped-in presentation page preceding title spread, also on inside back cover, but binding remains sound. Apart from presentation page inscription, pages are clean and bright and unmarked.
