Sous la restauration une garde royale considérée comme un corps d'élite est créée en 1817 pour assurer en complément de la maison militaire la protection du Roi. Elle servira Louis XVIII et Charles X , mais elle fut dissoute en 1830 lors de l'expulsion de la branche ainée des bourbons. Ainsi les témoins attestées de cette courte période sont assez rares Alfieri Oeuvres dramatiques traduite par Petitot AnX 1802 edition originale de la traduction Reliures en demi maroquin rouge à grains long ou plutot cuir à grains long mécanique comme cela se pratiquait à cette période. .
