Contains 148 printed pages of text with monochrome photographs throughout. Corners very slightly turned in, a little age darkening to the closed page edges and in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. ROYAL NAVY (RN).

8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece and plates, endpapers lightly browned; marbled boards ruled and lettered in blue, green cloth back, a very good, bright, clean copy. The author served on RHN ADRIAS in the South Atlantic and Mediteranean, then SCARAB for the invasions of Sicily and Italy. From 1943-44 he was based at NILE (Alexandria) and finally Piraeus during the liberation and civil war. VERY SCARCE.

Presentation copy from the author's brother and signed by him also. 148pp. Illustrated. described as "an account of a few very ordinary adventures of a very ordinary 'Temporary Surgeon Lieut.' in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, and being factual rather than imaginative". Covers the author's naval service from 1942 to 1945.
