Links da ehemalige Haus der Germanen, mittig die Neckarbrücke, rechts die Platanenallee und dann im Hintergrund die Häuser der Neckarvorstadt, das heutige Hotel Krone, das Tagblatt Gebäude etc. Im Vordergrund sind (rauchende) Bürger und Studenten zu sehen. Eine der schönsten Tübingen Ansichten des 19.Jahrdhunderts. One of the most beautiful Tuebingen views of the 19th century.- siehe Schefold "Alte Ansichten aus Württemberg", 1957-1974, Nr. 9367a. Adam Gatternicht, 1819 in Heidelberg geboren, 1899 in Stuttgart gestorben war ein Kupferstecher sowie Kreide- und Federzeichner. Er beherrschte auch den Farbendruck und erstellte Buchillustrationen, Vorlagewerke und Ansichten. Unter der künstlerischen Leitung von A. Kappis und Kranck hat er seit 1849 einen eigenen Kunstverlag betrieben. Davor wirkte er für andere Verlage. Sprache: deutsch.

Excellent colour, hard to find images - This poster measure 9.75 x 13.75 inches and we think these would look wonderful framed alone or as a group.
