Links da ehemalige Haus der Germanen, mittig die Neckarbrücke, rechts die Platanenallee und dann im Hintergrund die Häuser der Neckarvorstadt, das heutige Hotel Krone, das Tagblatt Gebäude etc. Im Vordergrund sind (rauchende) Bürger und Studenten zu sehen. Adam Gatternicht, 1819 in Heidelberg geboren, 1899 in Stuttgart gestorben war ein Kupferstecher sowie Kreide- und Federzeichner. Er beherrschte auch den Farbendruck und erstellte Buchillustrationen, Vorlagewerke und Ansichten. Unter der künstlerischen Leitung von A. Kappis und Kranck hat er seit 1849 einen eigenen Kunstverlag betrieben. Davor wirkte er für andere Verlage. Sprache: deutsch.

Hoffmann publishing house, these seem to be the German version of the French Document du Decorateur series.
