Trade catalog; folded vertically, as issued; 6 1/4 x 3 1/2; pp. [1], 2-13; white wraps, illustrated and printed in black and green; a bit of wear along edges; a small stamp of an office supply company to front wrap; illustrated with photographs and drawings; very good condition.The manufacturer, The General Fireproofing Company, was founded in 1902 and initially made building materials. It later expanded and became well-known for building steel office furniture and fireproof safes and filing cabinets. It also manufactured aircraft parts during the Second World War. The business filed for bancruptcy in 1989. The current catalog included descriptions, dimensions, and images of various file cabinets and cases, including "Correspondence File," "Tabulating System File," "Card Index File," and so on.
