Near fine except for rust residue around the staples, lightly tanned. Based on reports and material from GHQ Cairo, this describes and draws lessons from the two major battles at El Alamein (defensive from 30 Aug to 6 Sep, and offensive from 23 Oct to 4 Nov) and subsequent early part of the advance on Tripoli and Tunis. Some lessons relate only to the Libyan Desert, while others have broader applicability. It contains: Part I. Narrative of Operations; II. Lessons for all Arms (general, command and control, communications, intelligence, security, camouflage and tactical ruses, control of movement, army - air cooperation); III. Lessons by Arms (armour in cooperation with infantry, armour in a mobile role, artillery, engineers, signals, infantry); IV.
