This printing in 1858 contains two volumes in one book: Vol1 is 284pp and is General Zachary Taylor's biography and account; Vol2 is 224 numbered pages (starting at #11) and is General Winfield Scott's biography and account. Spine is blindstamped and lette…red in gilt. Front and back of boards blindstamped with design. Cover is worn and scuffed with minor tears at bottom of spine. Binding is tight. Pages are clean with some very light foxing in places. Previous owner's inked name and date on first two blank pages.
