The original work was split into four continuously paginated sections and a supplement, in two volumes.The four sections had separate headers and were as follows: Libri Theologica, Libri Iuridici, Libri Medicorum and Libri Historici, Geographici et Politici. This volume contains the complete first section, Libri Theologica. In Latin. Though not the complete multi-volume work, any volume of this work is scarce. Might benefit from some work to the binding. Georg Draud, also styled George Draudius, was a German author and bibliographer. This work, his magnum opus, is a comprehensive catalogue of the titles of works which had, until the year 1624, appeared for sale at Frankfurt book fairs. A useful work, particularly as relates to early printed German texts, it updates Draud's earlier work of 1611 and arranges it more structurally and completely. In 19th century marbled paper covered boards. Externally, sound with bumping and rubbing. Front joint split with backstrip lifting. Front hinge strained. Rear joint tender with board loosening. Rear board has been bent and damage is evident to pastedown. Loss to corner of front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound aside from straining after preface. Pages browned with scattered foxing. Manuscript notes to a handful of pages, including signature to title page. Good Only. book.
