Revue trimestrielle. Paris, rédacteur en chef : Henri Deluy. Comité de rédaction : Elisabeth Roudinesco, Bernard Vargaftig, Paul Louis Rossi, Charles Dobzynski, Pierre Lartigue, Mitsou Ronat, Jacques Roubaud, Alain Lance, etc. (Jean-Yves Lacroix, Catalogue Revues, janvier 2019, p.4). Livres.

First Edition
Spiral Bound. First Edition, First Printing. pp. 284. 8vo., measuring 8.5" x 6". Bright, illustrated card covers held with white plastic spiral binding. A wonderful selection of recipes as compiled by the Federal Women's Committee of the CCF-NDP on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the first National Convention of the C.C.F. Sections include: Beverages, Soups, Meat Cookery, Chicken, Beef, Stews, Pork, Cookies, Cakes, Special Dinners, and much more. All recipes accompanied with the names of their respective contributors along with their city, or town. Interspersed within the recipes are short profiles of various notables within the NDP/CCF, MP's, MLA's including J.W. Woodsworth, Tommy Douglas, George H. Williams, Edwin Tchorzewski, Fred Dewhurts, and many others. Excepting some light rubbing to the covers, there are no other detectable flaws with the contents remaining bright, clean, and unmarked with tight, sound binding. Exceedingly scarce in commerce, and unrecorded in OCLC with no institutional holdings at time of cataloguing (2021). Rare indeed. The Anniversary Cook Book - Canada's Favourites is based on a Canadian Centennial project of the Federal Women's Committee of the New Democratic Party. The sub-title in this edition has been used to maintain the link with the edition mentioned aboved and with Canada's Favourites, a cook book compiled by the C.C.F. women in 1944 and reprinted in 1947. Use has been made of the negatives employed in producing the 1967 edition so you will find that none of the recopies will have changed. Paid advertising has been removed and replaced with pictures and brief biographies of some of our CCF-NDP M.P.'s and M.L.A.'s from Saskatchewan. 1973 marks the 40th anniversary of the First National Convention of the C.C.F. and this book is intended as one small token of that momentous event.
