Gevirts designed the House of Ablution and Burial Service for the Deceased and the Service Building in the Jewish cemetery, the build…ing of the M.A. Ginsburg Jewish Almshouse, a number of rent houses, and the synagogue in Kharkov. He was the Secretary of the Architects and Painters Society. Under Soviet rule, he was a professor and dean of the Architecture Faculty of the Academy of Arts.
