Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Illustrated by Henry Pitz (illustrator). First Edition. This copy is crisp and clean, but the first signature (to page 14) is detached. There is a child's name on the first page in pencil, but no other signs of use--the pages are in remarkably good shape, as is the binding. The scarce jacket is edgeworn, and there top two inches of the spine are missing, but what remains is very bright, and this includes the entire front, with its terrific N.C. Wyeth-style image of John Paul Jones. The child whose name is on the first page also filled in a form on the rear flap which was meant to be sent to the publisher to get on their mailing list. Luckily he didn't complete the mission. A mylar Brodart cover now protects the jacket. Scans on request.
