Hardcover. Condition: Very good condition. First Edition. xvi, 266 pages of text including an index of persons. Original tan hardcover cloth binding with red spine lettering and front cover decoration; very minimal shelfwear, in almost near fine condition. Protected in stiff custom archival mylar. No dustjacket, as issued. Illustrated with dozens of historic black & white photographs, a facsimile of a manuscript map, and map-illustrated endpapers. Pages 5-8 are affected by an unusual spotting, which most likely occurred during the manufacture of the paper. One page with minor crease to top corner. Only 1000 copies were printed, by Grant Dahlstrom at The Castle Press. A history from 1824-1924 of the Santa Clara Valley. Ranching, Cattle, Horses, Winery, Vineyard, California History, Franciscan Missions, North American Indians, Settlement. Size: Octavo (8vo). Book.
