This is bound with "The Whole Book of Psalmes collected into English Meeter." from 1625 including Musical notation to some psalms and other songs. The main text appears to have no missing pages although there are various misprinted page numbers and the page pair have one number. There are 4 maps and 25 illustrations with illustrated title pages to the whole and to the NT and the additional book of Psalms - which is missing all pages after 86 and leaf 83/84. The binding is tooled black calf raised bands, gilt title to red spine label gilt rulings to spine, gilt detail to margins of covers. The binding is perhaps eighteenth century I suspect not older, the rear cover is barely attached, held by a few threads, spine ends and scuffed and eroded the leather worked and worn. The top margins are cropped with some gatherings lacking headlines and page numbers, none of the main text has been cropped, the bottom margins appear intact. 1 leaf of psalms is torn with 50% loss one other leaf show 15% loss, perhaps a dozen other leaves have lost corners with slight loss of print, half a dozed have large tears without loss. There are ink notes, marks, scribbles and blots to various pages. Rear of NT title page has a list of births in the Roobotham family in the seventeenth century, there are various eighteenth century scribbles doodles and notes by Thomas Innocent. 22 x 16cm.
