Originally published as part of the Middle American Research journal, the work describes early travel in Mexico and first published in Latin in 1782. The narrative includes the lakes of Mexico, Jorullo, waterfalls of Guatemala, cochineal, indigo production, beavers, mining, sugar, cattle, birds, animals, sports, etc with some historic illustrations, one of the Voladores (flyers) still practiced in Papantla near El Tajin, others include sugar mills.
