"Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ted Greenwald earned a BA from Queens College, CUNY. He has authored more than 25 books of poetry, including Lapstrake (1965); Blink (1972); The Life (1975); You Bet! (1978); Common Sense (1979, 2016); Word of Mouth (1986); Looks Like I'm Walking (1991); You Go Through (1992); Something, She's Dead (1999); and The Up and Up (2004). The Age of Reasons (2016), a collection of his 'uncollected poems from 1969 to 1982', surprises the reader with his engaging language driven by the New York School and style of Language poets. In 1978, Greenwald, with Charles Bernstein, cofounded the Ear Inn Reading Series, which featured the poets John Ashbery and Michael Lally in its first reading. Condition: Very good. First edition. 5 numbered pages. Very slim oblong quarto [21 cm x 27 cm] Illustrated wraps stapled at the spine (front wrap has come away from one of the staples). Front cover by Alain Sadoc. With light soiling to the front wrap, and a small amount of ink staining along the top edge to the verso of the front wrap and to the title page. "No Eating" is Blue Pig 10.

Side-stapled wrappers. Cover by Gordon Matta-Clark, his only book illustration. This is from an edition of 350 of which 26 are lettered and signed by poet and artist; this is letter J. Near fine with minor shelf wear at extremities and a mild staple indentations on right cover panel.
