Two volumes in one: x, (2), xviii, 103, (3); viii, 272 pp. Illustrated, 20 folding plans from various Napoleonic battles, some with hand coloring, in volume one, folding tables and 21 folding plans in volume two. The author served as an artillery officer in the Prussian army under Von Thielmann at the Battle of Ligny. Somewhat later gilt-stamped and embossed calf, gilt title, rules and ornaments between raised bands on spine; joints broken, endpapers discolored, otherwise a good solid copy.
