Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. 12mo. 288pp. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Pencil owner name on front flyleaf, touch of spine sunning, a few scattered splash marks and some corner bumping, very good or better. With the Signature of the editor Grover tipped onto the front pastedown, along with a pencil notation from the former owner about meeting his family onboard a ship. Grover was an American publisher and educator, who was concerned with African-American causes; his wife ran a daycare for the children Black working mothers in Florida. A collection of poetry about animals from dozens of notable contributors.
