Boards normally scuffed at edges and worn\/bumped at corners. Head and tail of spine scuffed; hinges rubbed with some creasing. gilt lettering and ruling on spine soiled in some places, but legible. Water or tea dampness staining along bottom edge of text-block, but mostly seen at tail of front and rear gutters. Normal toning with some instances of foxing and age-staining. Plates intact. Foldout frontispiece and plates numbered 1-18 in first part, with some plates numbers out of order. Light markings. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear.
