Edited for Thursday, 1st February 1945. 16 PP with 1 illustration by Tanner. Inside front cover: Master of Ceremonies "Lieutenant John Gordon Baskcomb, R.N.R". Soft cover, illustration on front cover by Tanner. Dedicatory note inside front cover "To Mavis with Love" dated 6 November 1945 and signed John. Covers reinforced at spine. Ageing of paper, o/wise near fine. 18.5 x 12.5. HMS Euryalus, Cruiser of 5,450 Tons, built Chatham Dock Yard in 1939. Crossing the line ceremony between Trincomalee and Australia. Original crossing of the Equator at 88° East, on 19th January 1945. The ceremony of this crossing was held on 1st February 1946 by 19° South & 102° East, following 2 successful Air Raids on the Japanese held oil refinery at Palembang, Sumatra. A scarce item.
