No Binding. Condition: Good. Five front pages of one of the first Hebrew newspapers published in Ottoman Palestine. Offered are nos. 21 and 27 from the sixth year of publication, no. 26 from the seventh year of publication, no. 40 from the ninth year, and no. 8 from the tenth year (year of publication (volume) is given at top right of page). Condition varies from fair to very good. All folded once horizontally and each with partial revenue stamp, all but one with a cancellation mark on the stamp as well. These apparently were originally collected philatelically for the revenue stamps and so only the front pages were kept. Rare examples in any case. The history of the newspaper is described in Juedische Presse im 19. Jahrhundert (Aachen, 1967), p. 109, item no. 108. A copy of the description will be furnished along with the sheets.
