Z'miroth ut'filoth yis…roel; a synagogue hymnal for Sabbath and festivals, comprising songs for religious schools and junior services, compiled, and adapted for the use of cantor, choir, and congregation, by Rev. M. Halpern, Cantor of Congregation Adath Jeshurun, Boston. This hymnal, with musical arrangements, was published to encourage congregational singing at Adath Jeshurun of Boston. Selections were chosen from the traditional liturgy and also include Zionist and patriotic American songs. Most of the compositions are Halpern's, though some were arranged by S. Sulzer, L. Lewandowski and others. The English selections were chosen by the rabbi of Adath Jeshurun, P. Israeli. Recently sold at auction for $100.
