Hardcover. Condition: New. 1st Edition. Self-published, 2018. New,in publisher's shrink wrap, signed and limited first edition. A lavish production. Over-sized edition (14.5" x 11.5") In publisher's shrink wrap sleeve. Includes a newly composed 2-part piece to accompany the work's exhibition. This lavish hardback is published by Eamonn's D1 imprint in an edition of 1000. Working with a 1951 recording of an Irish Keen musician, David Donohoe has composed a new, two-part piece for voice that accompanies this body of work for exhibition, and is included in the book as a 10 vinyl record tucked into a sleeve inside back cover. Through the intense color images of K, we follow a figure that shape-shifts as it travels across this landscape. Entirely veiled in cloth, the figure is spectral, changing in color and materiality (shape-shifting!) as it is propelled by gravity, wind, water and light. In places it appears almost gaseous, in others it is molten and at times the weight of being earthbound becomes apparent. Accompanying these color images, K includes a number of dense black and white photographs that appear to describe some kind of seismic evidence. A Fine copy, signed by the Doyle in white marker pen.
