HARRY ELIOTT (illustrator). chasseur chassant le lapin avec son chien, son rabatteur mettant un lapin dans son terrier lithographie encadrée non datée. Harry Eliott (né Charles Edmond Hermet le 14 juin 1882 et le 25 mai 1959) est un dessinateur et illustrateur français. Il fut également peintre, particulièrement à l'aquarelle le cadre fait 90 x 35 comptez 88 X 33 pour la gravure la gravure est en très bonne état pas de taches le cadre est en bois doré le dos du cadre est propre sans tâches aussi et sans déchirures la gravure est signée sur la gauche au nom de HARRY ELIOTT HARRY ELIOTT fut aussi illustrateur d'ouvrages dont des dickens.

Dos lisse portant le nom de l'auteur, le titre et la date en lettres dorées. Tranche supérieure dorée. AVEC UNE SUITE DES ILLUSTRATIONS EN NOIR SUR CHINE. Minimes traces de frottement sur le dos, sinon ouvrage en excellent état. Un des 50 exemplaires avec suite (sans le dessin original).

No Binding. Condition: Fine. Artist: Harry Eliott, French (1882 - 1959), born Charles Edmond Hermet was a French painter, cartoonist and illustrator. Eliott was the son of a lithographer. An Anglophile, he took up an English pseudonym at an early age and lived in England for a while. As an artist he is best known for his humorous stenciled prints, and hunting scenes in the Victorian style and was one of a number of French Dickens illustrators active in the 1930s. Source: Wikipedia Description: These art prints are stencil technique printed on paper. There are no telltale signs of photomechanical reproduction processes. Artist signature is in the lower left hand corner. The scenes show the artist's background as a humorist illustrator, depicting the terror in the faces of the local folks by the horsemen in one of the works, or the humiliating fall of one of the hunters in the other. Condition: Prints are in fine condition no visible stains or blemishes. Not examined outside their frames. Frames are in good condition, with few dents and all chips. Measurements: Frame, approx. 17.5 x 7.5 x 3/4 inches. Signed by Illustrator(s).
