Tiny bookplate of industrialist and art collector Henry O. Havemeyer ("Mountain Side Farm, Mahwah, N. J.") and gift inscription ("To My Husband", almost certainly by his wife…Louisine) on the front endleaves. Spine titling a bit dulled and corners just worn through, still a bright, near fine copy lacking the dust jacket. Henry O. Havemeyer was an industrialist in the sugar business; his wife Louisine was a prominent art collector (especially of Impressionist art) and suffragette.
