First edition, first printing, the copy of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, with the presentation card from Prometheus Entertainment president Kevin Burns loosely inserted, inscribed "Hef - this is a side of 'old Hollywood' I never knew existed. Here's to another great year!! love, Kevin". The book collects the stereoscopic photos taken by the silent film star Harold Lloyd from the 1940s to the 1970s, many of young women who dreamed of making it big in Hollywood, including Marilyn Monroe, Bettie Page, Dixie Evans and Tura Satana. Following the death of Hefner in 2017, his library was sold with proceeds going to the Hugh M. Hefner Foundation, dedicated to promoting and preserving individual liberty, with a focus on sexual freedom and drug decriminalization. His posthumous bookplate is affixed to the front free endpaper. Quarto. Original photographic pictorial boards. No jacket issued. A fine copy, complete with the unopened 3-D glasses.
