Unpaginated poem translated into the Chinese language and printed here in English in a limited edition of seventy numbered copies. This copy has not been numbered but contains the letters A.P. on the limitation page. SIGNED by both the author and the original illustrator. Russet illustrations and decorations on cream paper and card. Black lettering on front cored covers and also on spine. Tiny tear (10mm) to top hinge of front cover. Faint print ink mark on title page from frontis illustration. Glassine wraps cracked on spine and with small jagged tear at tail of spine cover (25mm) and wear to top of spine cover. Aufgewachsen in Martinwaldau (Szczytnica) arbeitete er vom Jahre 1949 an als Lehrer, zunächst in der Volksschule Heyweiler, später an der Hauptschule in Simmern / Hunsrück, wo er bis zu seinem Ruhestand 1989 wirkte. Von 1956 bis 1989 war er Vorstandsmitglied und 1. Vorsitzender des Schutzverbands Deutscher Schriftsteller in Rheinland-Pfalz, des Verbands deutscher Schriftsteller (VS) Rheinland-Pfalz und des Förderkreises deutscher Schriftsteller (FöK) Rheinland-Pfalz sowie über lange Jahre hinweg Redakteur der Zeitschrift Glaube und Heimat. Neben eigenen Büchern war er auch Herausgeber und Mitautor verschiedener Werke, veröffentlichte Texte und Gedichte in Anthologien und schrieb für den Südwestfunk Hörspiele und Fernsehfilme (Auszug aus Wikipedia). Only 200 copies of this book were produced, with cream paper covered boards and silver cord binding. Black and white title plate is mounted on the front board. This is copy #179 and is signed on the colophon by both the author and the artist. Light blue end papers. Enclosed within a matching card slip case with issue number hand written on the spine. Hint of shelf wear to the edges of the slip case. Otherwise all in fine condition. Signed by Author and Illustrat.
