Die Linke vertritt die Moral: Wir sind die Guten" und nun auch noch mit Abstand. Alle machen mit oder feuern den Staat an, nicht locker zu lassen. Das ermöglicht es der politischen Rechten, dieses Protest-Vakuum zu füllen und sie tun dies mit enormer Aggressivität und Geschwindigkeit, Reichsbürger, Antisemiten, Nazis, die Querfront, Verschwörungsideologen, Irrationalisten. Das zeigt sich exemplarisch in der ganz neuen Partei Widerstand2020, die vorgeblich weder rechts noch links ist, was immer ein Anzeichen für Rechte ist. Wir befinden uns mitten in einem Lehrstück. Die Staaten nutzen die Corona-Krise als Testballon. Wieviel Staatsmacht werden wir künftig erleben? Gibt es noch Opposition? Wie wird die kapitalistische Wirtschaft organisiert sein? Überhaupt: wie wird es weitergehen? Wie wollen wir leben? Sitzen wir" alle in einem Boot" oder haben manche 'ne Luxusjacht, andere ein Schlauchboot? Nach der Krise ist vor der Krise. Es geht um linke Diskussionen und linke Antworten, wir dürfen weder den Affirmatoren der Massenpanik noch den Rechten das Feld kampflos überlassen (Klappentext). Geleitwort von Rebecca Niazi-Shababi. Mit Kapiteln zu den Perspektiven zwischen Utopie und Dystopie, dem Erzeugen und den Folgen von Hysterie und Panik, den "Hygiene-Demos" und den Aktionen von "Demokratischer Widerstand", einer Kritik der Corona-App von der Gruppe "Capulco", einem Interview mit Helmut Dahmer etc. Deutlich wird: nach Corona ist vor Corona. das Buch wurde von der Kritik weitestgehend ignoriert, Ex-Grünen-Fundi Thomas Ebermann entblödete sich jedoch nicht, das Werk in seinem Buch "Störung im Betriebsablauf" (Hamburg 2021) kurzerhand als "durchgeknallt" abzukanzeln, was freilich auf ihn selbst zurückfällt. Rudolf van Hüllen zu dieser "Kritik" im Jahrbuch Extremismus und Demokratie (34. Jahrgang, Nomos Verlag, Baden-Baden 2022, S. 317): "Die Autoren haben ihre Beobachtungen nicht wie Ebermann bis in den März 2021 ausgedehnt, sondern ihre Einwände schon 2020 formuliert, Es fehlt ihnen wahrlich nicht an radikaler Kapitalismuskritik, aber zugleich werden die psychischen, sozialen und politischen Folgen der deutschen Corona-Massnahmen offengelegt: in dieser linken Kritik hat relationierende Empirie ebenso ihren Platz wie manche Überlegung entlang verantwortungsethischer Kategorien. Die Autoren warnen vor der Gefahr eines perpetuierten autoritären Obrigkeitsregimes - übrigens auch unter J`Hinweis auf den von Ebermann ausdrücklich geschätzten Theodor W. Adorno". Christof Wackernagel zum vorliegenden Buch: Auch als ich das in der »edition critic« erschienene Buch in den Händen hielt, dachte ich zunächst: »ich kanns nicht mehr hören, mein Akku ist leer!« Zum Glück begann ich trotzdem darin zu lesen. Mit jeder Seite blätterte eine Verdrängungsschicht von mir ab, jede Nennung banaler Fakten zog mich aus dem Relativierungssumpf, jedes Zitat erinnerte mich an was ich selbst gedacht hatte Gegen Corona kann sich jeder Mensch besser schützen als gegen schwere Grippewellen, selbst wenn es dagegen Medikamente gibt, besser als gegen Malaria, TBC oder das Dengue Fieber. Damit wird dieses Buch eine Erinnerung an die Tatsache, dass die Massnahmen gegen Corona ein generationenübergreifendes Verbrechen sind. Das Wichtigste an diesem Buch ist allerdings seine Erinnerung an die Grundkriterien dessen, was linkes Denken ist, die Grundbestimmungen linker Politik: global oder gar nicht und Orientierung an den untersten der Unteren Wer behauptet, dass links und rechts verschwimmen, schwimmt bereits im Strom nach rechts: Rechts will Volksgemeinschaft, links Völkergemeinschaft zwei inkompatible Kriterien, die nicht verschwimmen können; rechts will Besitzstandswahrung, links Besitzverteilung ebenfalls scharf getrennt und inkompatibel: rechts will oben und unten - links will von gleich zu gleich: da geht nichts zusammen. Wer totalitäre Massnahmen einer Regierung befürwortet, macht sich lächerlich, wenn er sich als »links« bezeichnet. Wer gar Kritik an weltweiter Entmündigung erwachsener Menschen als »rechts« zu denunzieren versucht, wird auch noch unverschämt mit dem dümmsten Trick 17, den es gibt: »haltet den Dieb«". Kristina Chmelar und Christoph Meißelbach kritisieren diesen Band in einer Sammelrezension für das "Jahrbuch Extremismus & Demokratie", wobei sie ungeachtet der fragwürdigen totalitarismustheoretischen Einbettung des Jahrbuches immerhin konstantieren: "Die überwiegend kurzen Beiträge sind verbunden durch einen prononciert linken Anti-Etatismus und eine kritische Haltung aller Autoren gegenüber dem eigenen politische Lager, dem sie vielerlei Fehler und versäumte Chancen im Umgang mit der Corona-Pandemie vorwerfen. Wenngleich dieses Buch keinen wirklich fundierten Beitrag zur akademischen Debatte leistet, vermag es diese doch auf zumindest zweierlei Art zu befruchten. Einesteils bietet es eine Fülle von empirischem Material etwa für diskursanalytische oder wissenssoziologische Studien zur politischen Diskussion rund um die Corona-Krise. Es liefert einen weiteren instruktiven Einblick in Argumentationslinien und Denkweisen in innerlinken Diskussionen. Andernteils liegt in seiner funadamentalkritischen Perspektive ein Erkenntnispotenzial: Weil die nüchterne Abwägung der Sachverhalte die Sache der Autoren nicht ist, arbeiten sie in kompromissloser Klarheit vielerlei Missstände heraus, die sonst gleichsam von der Differenzierung verschleiert zu werden drohten" (Nomos Verlag, Baden-Baden 2021, S. 279f.).
