Steel engraving, and Stipple engraving by Herdiviller (1796-1871), c. 1835. Reasonable condition. Paper a bit soiled, with some browning/spotting along edges. Traces of former mounting along the right edge. Minor creasing. Some offsetting of printed text, both on recto and verso. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the entire leaf. Dimensions: 234 x 140 mm. Joseph Banks, 1st Baronet was Naturalist, President of the Royal Society, Botanist, Patron of the natural sciences, Leading founder of the African Association, Member of the Society of Dilettanti, Advocated British settlement in New South Wales, and Advocated British colonisation of Australia. c. 1835.
