Blue cloth lightly rubbed; a few slender spots of mottling at board edges; spine ends bumped; small stain new spine heel; gilt stamping to spine and front board remains bright. Toning to endpapers; non-authorial pencil inscription and Marblehead, Massachusetts nautical dealer ink stamp on front pastedown; a few spots of minor foxing and soiling to interior leaves which, overall, remain clean. Binding is firm. A collection of nine articles by yacht designer Lewis Francis Herreshoff which were first published in The Rudder Magazine in a series titled "The Common Sense of Yacht Design.".
