First edition. Song book for The Aloha Hive summer camp in Fairlee, Vermont. The Aloha camps were founded in 1905 by Edward and Harriet Gulick. Edward was born and raised in Honolulu and brought touches of Hawaiian culture to his camps, hence the name Aloha. In 1968 the Aloha Foundation was founded to run the camps and continue the Gulick family legacy. The Aloha Foundation website says that the Gulicks "could imagine what women could become in America and in the world" and hoped that their summer camps "could help girls develop into young women prepared to accomplish great things in the world" Scarce with only 4 holdings in OCLC. 4to. 172pp. Publisher's blind stamped green cloth softcover boards, large embossed panel with title and decoration on front cover, front cover creased, edges worn, previous owner's stamp to ffep, pencil notes in back, pages toned, very good.
