Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Tightly bound in brown cloth with title and author in silver on the spine. Corners are sharp. Top edges tinted blue and the other edges are clean. The endpapers depict the areas of our global commitments at the end of WWII according to the Truman Doctrine and the Marshall Plan. DJ is in very good condition with very light rubbing wear, tiny chip at head of spine and a .25' closed tear on the edge of spine panel near the heel. The price has been crossed out. The author was Foreign correspondent for the Cincinnati Enquirer.282 pp.
