First Edition. Quarto, original printed wraps. A four page sales brochure with a one page typed cover letter on the company's letterhead with the sales pitch and features of the product. Brochure is advertising the company's full automatic semi truck and trailer with illustrations. It also boosts that the company is the worlds largest trailer factory. Letter is very good with some toning and two fold lines, corners with creases, brouchure with two fold lines else an excellent example.…

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 4to. (9 x 12") unpaged [58p.]. Profusely [!] illusrated with black and white captioned photos and numerous blueprint drawings, including specs and prices. Some pages in color. Loose sheets fastened with brass fasteners into a green printed wrapper with black letters on the front wraper and two black and white photos of Highway Trailer Company plants [Plant No. 1, Edgerton, WI and Plant No. 2, Stoughton, WI]. External wrappers quite soiled, especially around the edges and with minor tears around the edges, interior pages very good to near fine with no internal markings. This is Sales Manual No. 538, which was the property of the Telford K. Thompson Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and on loan to the Fort Motor Company, St. Paul, Minnesota. It includes several pages of general information about the trucks, trailers, transportation, and the like, and a section devoted to Highway Semi-Trailers matched to Ford Trucks. A treasure trove of information about trucks and trailers in the 1930s! Highway Trailer Company operated from the 1910s until 1961 building trucks and trailers for every kind of use, from stock trailers, to van trailers, to drop frame van type, to semi-railers of all kinds. They claimed to be "The World's Largest Trailer Plant" and operated plants in Edgerton and Stoughton, Wisconsin.…
