In this book he recollects the thrill of pitting skill and muscle against primeval forces, racing with unseen rivals, fellowships born, privations, starvation, misery and cold as well as pride in the stately sailing ship. He was a member of the Honorable Company of Master Mariners. tight copy, slight stain on top edge, edges of d/j inside flaps and back cover very slightly yellowed.
