This guidebook was written by the late Miss M Honora Keating, the youngest of the late three Keating sisters.in 1957. The property was given to The National Trust following their deaths. The Keating sisters were a legend within the Trust for 35 years and were indeed older than the trust. They were fiercely protective of Pas-yn-Rhiw and the lleyn and managed to go a long way towards their goal of buying back for the Trust the remainder of the Plas-yn-Rhiw Estate sold off in 1874. Since the death in 1981 of Lorna, the last of the Keating sisters, the Trust has been able to acquire fro The University of Wales, for a nominal sum, the common of Mynydd Rhiw - 145 acres overlooking Plas-yn-Rhiw and with views to Anglesey, Snowdonia, Cardigan bay to Strumble Head, and on a clear day to the Wicklow Hills in Ireland. There are twenty four (24) pages of illustrations of the house and its surroundings.
