After opening a successful elastic starch factory in New Haven, CT, the Hubinger Brothers opened a second starch fa…ctory in 1887 in Keokuk, Iowa. Hubinger was an early user of premiums and a strong believer in advertising. His outspoken declaration of superiority and claims were outrageous to our present day commercials but the product worked and the business was a success. 1 cm. tear to front corner, otherwise clean and crisp. Color illustrated cards, red string. Very good.
