Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dj. Illus By Author (illustrator). Quarto, hardcover, one tiny closed tear on endpaper else VG in chartreuse pictorial boards. No dj. Orange pictorial endpapers. This is 8th printing of the 1938 children's book, 1957. Name blacked out on endpaper else clean and unmarked. Unpaginated, about 70 pp. with large full page illustrations in duptones. Winner of a Caldecott Honor Award when it first appeared in 1939, a picture book with simple text about young farmboy Andy, who went to the library to get a book about lions only to meet one that escaped from a circus and befriends him. Book.
