The queen, who had an evil heart, grew jealous of the king's love for his children, and cast a magic spell to change them into swans. On Inniskeel Island, which is off the coast of Donegal, there can still be seen an ancient stone with four swans carved on its surface, and the tale is believed by some to be the inspiration for Shakespeare's "King Lear". With rich, medieval-style artwork.
