Boards are lightly soiled and worn, lower edges are rubbed, corners frayed. Front hinge (inside) is cracked and worn, but cover is still attached. Frontis illustration is missing,… but the other five plates are present. Pages clean and tight, no tears or creases, no markings. Just a reading copy. Story of a woman of easy virtue.

Ink message dated 1916 to the front free end paper, foxing to the end papers, war-time gilt for the spine mixed with aluminium and consequently has dulled, else in Good condition, no dust wrapper.
