La Monarchie des Solipses (aussi appelée La Monarchie des Jésuites) est un pamphlet virulent publié en 1645 sous le pseudonyme de Melchior Inchofer mais en réalité écrit par le jésuite Jules-Clément Scotti. L'ouvrage constitue une violente attaque contre les excès et l'implication politique de la Compagnie de Jésus à cette époque. Il a été réédité à plusieurs reprises notamment en 1721 1753 et 1824. The exact authorship has never been firmly established.

A scarce and nicely preserved piece, having been translated from the original Latin. By Melchior Inchofer (c. 1854-1864), an Austrian-Hungarian Jesuit and writer best known for his involvement with the trial of Galileo.

Eine vierte Auflage mit italienischer Übersetzung ist 2014 (Ghezzano, Felici Editori) erschienen (ed. Federica Gara). Die Herausgeberin der zweisprachigen Ausgabe verzeichnet nur drei Ausgaben (S. 159). Zum Autor siehe Dizionario biografico degli italiani, 48 (1997), 495-499. Melchior Inchofer (1584-1648), Jesuit und katholischer Theologe; er war im Galileo-Prozeß involviert.
