Hardcover. Condition: new. Hardcover. David Hockney (born 1937 in Bradford) is one of the most influential and technically versatile artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. This new publication gathers some of his most defining work from the 1950s to the present, including major works in the Tate collection. From early graphic cycles, iconic pool paintings through to his plein air landscapes, iPad drawings, and multimedia installations, the volume documents central themes and genres in Hockney's oeuvre, as well as his constant experimentation. Original essays by renowned critics and commentators illuminate the artist's search for new forms of expression, the topographical and biographical reference points of his work, the technical innovation of his painting and printmaking, as well as his approach to new media. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Add to basketHardcover. Condition: As New. Originalverpackt. Daniel Spoerri was a co-signatory of the Nouveau Réalisme manifesto in 1960, an early member of Fluxus and the author of the classic Anecdoted Topography of Chance, which recorded and annotated the contents of Spoerri's desk. In 1968 Spoerri also opened Restaurant Spoerri, introducing his concept of Eat Art, which he had initiated a decade earlier, and which explored the creation, decay and trapping of food upon tables that were then recapitulated as assemblages. Marking the occasion of the artist's eightieth birthday, Daniel Spoerri: Eaten By approaches the theme of food throughout Spoerri's oeuvre, from the early 1960s to the present. It includes the artist's replica of the Restaurant Spoerri, a survey of Spoerri's trap pictures from 1978 to 1992, and a large number of more recent assemblages and sculptures, bringing his audience fully up to date.
