As refugees from the lands of make-believe, the Fables have been driven from their storybook realms and forced to blend in with our gritty, mundane reality. But that doesn't mean they don't have any room for romance - or the pain, betrayal and jealous rage that go along with it. In fact, love may be blooming between two of the most hard-bitten, no-nonsense Fables around. But are they destined for happiness - or a quick and untimely death?" - from the rear outer cover. But appearances, as always, can be deceiving, and there's plenty about this refugee's story that smells wrong to the right noses. Softcover. Condition: gut. First Printing. "Recent events have taken their toll on Peter Parker's world. In the wake of "Last Remains" you'll never look at Norman or Harry Osborn the same again! We k…now Spider-Man certainly won't. But as Spidey continues to pick up the pieces and put his life back together, the gathering storms are swirling more and more violently. Mister Negative is back and wants only one thing: His own alter ego, Martin Li! But how is that possible? Meanwhile, Peter and Mary Jane have been through so much, and the specter of Spider-Man has been a constant strain on their relationship from day one. Is there anything left for them to cling to? As one era comes to a shocking end, an unexpected new day is dawning!" Spider-Man debütierte in Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962). (Wikipedia) In englischer Sprache. Ohne Seitenzählung [128] pages. 4° (168 x 258mm). Bagley, Mark; Ferreira, Marcelo (illustrator).

Trade paperback. Condition: Very good. First Printing [Stated]. 127, [1] pages. Illustrations (color). When her father, the powerful magician Zatara, turns up missing, Zatanna will stop at nothing in her efforts to find him, and enlists the aid of her Justice League friends for the search. Gardner Francis Cooper Fox (May 20, 191…1 December 24, 1986) was an American writer known best for creating numerous comic book characters for DC Comics. He is estimated to have written more than 4,000 comics stories, including 1,500 for DC Comics. Fox was also a science fiction author and wrote many novels and short stories. Fox is known as the co-creator of DC Comics heroes Barbara Gordon, the original Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate, Zatanna and the original Sandman, and was the writer who first teamed several of those and other heroes as the Justice Society of America, and later recreated the team as the Justice League of America. Fox introduced the Multiverse to DC Comics in 1961 in "Flash of Two Worlds!" Zatanna is on a quest to find her father's lost soul and encounters several members of the Justice League of America along the way. The contents come from the following Issues: Hawkman #4 "The Girl Who Split in Two!"; Detective Comics #336 "Batman's Bewitched Nightmare"; The Atom #19 "World of the Magic Atom"; Green Lantern (Volume 2) #42 "The Other Side of the World!"; Detective Comics #355 "The Tantalizing Troubles of the Tripod Thieves"; Justice League of America #51 "Zas in Zatannaand Zero Hour!"; and DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #5 "The Secret Spell". From an Amazondotcom review: Here's a great concept for a trade paperback. At some point, most readers of the old-time Justice League probably ran across issue 51, "Z--as in Zatanna--and Zero Hour," in which Hawkman, Batman, the Atom, Green Lantern, and non-JLA-member Elongated Man help the beautiful magician Zatanna save her father. But how many people had also read the back stories leading up to that issue--Hawkman 4, Detective Comics 336, Atom 19, Green Lantern 42, and Detective Comics 355, all written by Gardner Fox--in which those heroes had originally encountered Zatanna at earlier stages of her quest? Now they're all conveniently compiled, and even if all the issues aren't as entertaining as the GL and JLA installments, the volume cares enough to add a two-page introduction and a short bonus story about the origins of Zatara and Zatanna that originally appeared in a 1980 Blue Ribbon Digest. --David Horiuchi.
