These ephemeral inserts were placed loosely or sewn into Harper books during the early 1880s to promote the firm's broader publishing program. The sheet is printed in black with red vertical type along the left margin and paginated internally as pages 24, indicating it was extracted from a larger multi-page catalogue. Typography and listed publication dates point to production between 1883 and 1885. Very Good. Light age-toning to margins with faint handling wear; no tears or loss.
