Condition: Very Good minus overall. The cloth binding shows wear to the corners, with wear to the crown and tail of the spine. The dust jacket is Good, with a large chip missing from the lower corner of the front panel and a chip at the bottom of the spine; the jacket remains complete and presentable despite these losses. A solid, honest copy of this mid-twentieth-century historical work. Collector's Note: History of the Jews remains a respected and accessible survey of Jewish history, and this 1953 revised and enlarged eighth edition reflects significant mid-century scholarship through Israel Cohen's updates and additions.
