Contents include his selected poems; consolation poems; text hymns; and personal and descriptive poems.Book has gilt titles and decoration to upper board. Mild wear to edges and corners with some minor loss top/bottom of spine, with light wear to spine. Edges gilt. Light foxing to endpapers; missing RFEP. Otherwise in VG condition with no inscriptions.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. Carleton Library Number 114. 253 pp. Wraps a little yellowed, few small chips and tears at edges. Leaves yellowed. Spine straight and uncreased. Bill Irvine (1885-1962) was Labour and UFA MP in Alberta, later CCF MP in BC. Founder of the leftist Ginger Group in the House of Commons during the 1920s. Founder of the CCF party.

The Affirmative position on the subject was held by Alexander Irvine; the negative by the Rev. Thomas Slicer.
